Jon
Taffer has become a well-known figure the past few years due to his popular
television show Bar Rescue, where the
aggressive bar consultant has five days to turn neglected bars into “money
makers”. He is an expert in all these related to the bar industry and is living
the dream of people who enjoy the business of alcohol or people who enjoy
yelling at incompetent workers.

Jon Taffer
was born and raised in New York but attended the University of Denver studying
Political Science before moving to Los Angeles. In LA he began his career in
the hospitality industry. He bartended and managed at various Night Clubs
before moving into hotel and restaurant business. He began to venture out on
his own in 1986, eventually growing to 17 bars/restaurants at the high water
mark. After selling his businesses he went into consulting with his company
Taffer Dynamics where he consults bars and businesses instilling them with his
vast knowledge and his theory on building success based on customer reactions.
He turned his consulting ability into a reality television show known as Bar
Rescue on Spike TV in April 2011. Taffer has rescued over 80 Bars with a 70%
success rate. In 2013 He author the book Raise the Bar which emphasizes
running a successful business based on his own tactics.
He
still is hosting Bar Rescue which has been renewed for a fifth season, and
continues to educate the masses on the ins and outs of the Bar industry.
